British band Coldplay had to appear before a federal court in Los Angeles after the lawsuit filed last December by guitarist Joe Satriani, ensuring the success Viva la vida is a plagiarism of his subject I Could Fly. Although the musical similarities are obvious, the British have pleaded not guilty and his lawyers argue that there is insufficient evidence to claim damages.
